REVA ELECTRIC CAR COMPANY

In 1994, REVA Electric Car Company (RECC) was brought to India as a joint venture. The aim was to manufacture environment-friendly and cost-effective electric vehicles.
With 6,000 units and 180 employees this company is located at Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore.

The company's aim is to establish excellence and leadership in environment friendly urban transportation by offering the best value and manufacturing the fastest growing electric car for city mobility, considering its eco-friendly and fuel saving characteristics.RECC is based upon the "zero principle" which is Zero defects, zero time delays, zero inefficiencies and zero pollution. This is achieved through Zero Wastage and Zero Compromises.

This car is fully automatic (without clutch and gear) and its battery operated technology gives comfortable and easy driving.It has capacity to accommodate two adults and two children. It has an easy charging facility and 3.5 meters of turning radius which makes this car compatible for easy parking and driving to any place and any situation.Thus Reva can travel for 80 km in one charge and can be charged anywhere with a 220 volt, 15 amp power source.

REVA AC

Due to the presence of separate electronically controlled motor controlling AC, it gives more power to maintain its acceleration and speed while the AC is on. It also has FM /AM stereo.

REVA CLASSE

Reva Classe has the capacity to cool the inside atmosphere of the car even during the charging or parking with its pre-cooling AC system. Other special features available in this car are central locking, AM/FM cassette stereo, anti glare prismatic mirror, two tone leather seats, carpets and floor mats,and body colored bumpers.


REVAi

REVAi has speed efficiency of 80 kmph as compared to 65 kmph. With an improved torque it has been able to achieve quicker acceleration, climbing and negotiating slopes.It is likely to have a better battery life.

This car comes with a three year warranty.The main USP of the car is its economical and eco friendly nature. It's a very Hi-Tech car with features like Climate Control Seat and Remote Controlled A/C which makes it very different from the conventional cars. Reva also requires very less maintenance as the moving parts of the car are less in number.It has the best safety features according to world standards of today.

Visiting the factory was a great experience as I saw and learnt a lot about things I had no idea of including technical information, and various models and the aim of manufacturing a car like this.Also the assembly line of the various parts was very interesting and how all the parts are put together to make a machine. We also test drove the car which was exciting and fun.
